GSE delivered a logistics warehouse of nearly 45,000 m² to MERLIN Properties at Cabanillas Park I.

The warehouse has achieved LEED GOLD certification, one of the most prestigious certifications attesting to the environmental responsibility of new constructions.

The construction company GSE Spain, specialized in the development of logistics industrial warehouses, delivered a new “turnkey” logistics platform to MERLIN Properties at Cabanillas Park I, located in the Henares Corridor, one of the main logistics hubs on the Iberian Peninsula due to its location on the A-2 and excellent connections.

GSE Spain built a 44,637 square meter logistics warehouse with a clear storage height of over 11 meters, adhering to the high-quality standards of MERLIN Properties. The warehouse features 67 loading docks and a three-story office space of 332 m² per floor. This state-of-the-art logistics asset incorporates the latest advancements in storage systems to enhance efficiency and productivity in logistics operations.

One of the project’s most notable features is that the warehouse has been designed with a smoke detection and fire extinguishing system, allowing the space to be subdivided into four equal areas. Additionally, an electronic laboratory with an anti-static floor has been included.

Moreover, the warehouse stands out for its high level of environmental responsibility, the result of a strong commitment to sustainability by both GSE Spain and MERLIN Properties. As a result, the logistics asset has been awarded the LEED GOLD sustainability certification.

Cabanillas Park I, which began its development in 2017, is one of the largest logistics parks on the Iberian Peninsula, with a gross leasable area of over 400,000 m².
